GATHERING AT THE HELENA MAY INSTITUTE

The eighth annual general meet- ing of the Hongkong Reel Club, was held at 6.30 p.m. yesterday at the Helona May Institute. The Presi dent, Mr. H. R. Forsyth, was in the Chair.

In reviewing the activities of the Club for the past year, the Preal- dent, said he had very little to add to the report, which had already been in the hands of the members for the required period. The futan= | cial position of the Club, he said, was extraordinarily good, which was rather unusual for such a small clab. The members and subscrip- tions were, he thought, probably the highest in the history of the Club, and on this they could con- gratulate themsolves.

Continuing, Mr. Forsyth ex- pressed the hope that they would be able to maintain this position. and that members would retain thoir membership and at the same time bring in as many new mem- bers as possible.

The dancers at the St, Androw's Dall last year had improved con- this direction siderably, and in thanks wore due to Pipo-Major Mnckle and his assistants.

The President then proposed. the adoption of the report and ne counts. This was seconded by Mr. and carried K. S. Morrison. unanimously.

The Annual Report. The Annual Report by the Com- mittee, as presented at the meeting. was as, follows:
