Evidence given before the Munitions Investigating Com- mittee under Senator Nye to-day indicated that the Department of Commerce in 1933 had aided in the establishment of an American flying school in Canton.

Led by the Rainbow until three miles from the turn, the Endeavour, which had all through been man- fully fighting to hold a position, suddenly found opportunity for cutting inside of the Rainbow, and from that moment until crossing the winning line, the challenger was never again in danger of losing the lead.
The Endeavour won a spectacular rice by about half a mile with a margin of two main nine seconds. The Endeavour crossed the line at 8.44 pm, having covered the course in 5 hours, 43 minutes and 44 seconds, as compared with Rainbow's 5 hours 45 minutes, 53 seconds.
