Various production problems often make it necessary to altor plans for pictures to accommodate the stars Lutit as remained for Herbert: Mundin, funny little English comedian, to usurp the stars' prerogatives in Jesse L. Lasky's production, "Spring- time For Henry", which opens at the King's Theatro Thursday. Since ils hit role in "Cavalcado". Mundin has enjoyed an increasing demand for his appearance in pictures until to-day his is one of the first names considered in casting for comedy rules. The first eight days of pro- duction on "Springtime For Henry" found Mundin busy in "Such Women Are Dangerous", with Warner Baxter. Otto Kruger and Nancy Carroll had to work almost continually for those eight days while the work on the Baxter pleture was completed, re- leasing Mundln for his new role. As the hitter, Trivers, Mundin helps Kruger keop, ha elfairs of the heart so scheduled that Miss Carroll and lienther Angel will not be brought, into confilet.

The picture, a multi-sir extravaganza, brings the screen an entirely new, form of that A logical entertainment, dramatic story including a love ro

The play deals with the plot of Jimmy Durante, playing "Schnarzan" jungle star, to get lons for his picture from Baron Munchausen (Jack Pearl). The real owners of the lions turn up in the persons of Laurel & Hardy; Jimmy's rival, "Liondern" comes to a party, given for the Baron, disguised na a grand duke, and plots with an oll millionaire (Charles Butterworth) to obtain the tons. So Jimmy vampa the oil man's wife (Polly Moran) with unexpected results.
Velez Lupe "crashes" the party for hilarious; Requence with Laurel & Hardy, who loose a lion and stampedes the party, whereupon the greut "Schnarzan" vanquishes the big cat. Fifteen hun- red of Hollywood's most beautiful girls, spectacular cellophane costumes, grent settings, the remarkable "Mus en Wall in which an orchestro is suspended in mid-air, and other spectacle abounds. The romance is between June Clyde and Eddie Quil- Inn. The picture has another novelty cartoon, in the appearance of the Mickey Mouse, with human actors, and a special "Silly Symphony" con- nested by Walt Disney specially for this production. Among the musical) numbers are the big "Hello" ensemble) in which a whole revue is staged in a single number; Frances Williams' song with the "Singing Wires"; the spectacular "Musical Bar" with its beautiful girls; Jimmy Durante's comical "Reincarnation", "Hot Choco- Inte Soldier", a number by Brown and Freed that used for the Disney Symphony; "I've Had My Moments", the love motif sung by Eddie Quillon and June Clyde, and others, Redzera and Hart, Donaldson and Kahn, Brown and Freed are three song teams responsible for the tilting harmonies of the spectacle.
