JAPAN GIVEN SUBMARINE PLANS
The British "K" type of submarine, the designs for which were presented to Japan by the British Government during the war. according to evidence at the urinaments enquiry in Washington. The type is no longer in service in the British Navy, although three were converted into "M" clase boats, two of these subsequently being lost in accidenta.

The nominal union of the evangelical churches in Ger- many was accomplished, by official decree to-day.
Dr. Jiegor, the juridical mem- ber of the Nefchabishop Mueller's Ecclesiastical Cabinet, was res- ponsible for the order, which stated that the Churches of Bavaria and Wuerttemberg have) ceased to be independent and that their legal power passes into the hands of the German Evangelical Church.
The Bishops in Bavaria and Wuerttemberg, says the decree, must obey the orders of Reichs- bishop Mueller.
