His Excellency understands that a copy of this Despatch has reached you through the Foreign Office, and it is not, therefore, necessary to do more than request your assistance in preparing the Schedule of Extradition crimes which is to be appended to one of the new Ordinances to which Lord Carnarvon has referred.
The Attorney General will be instructed to advise the Government on the same subject, and His Excellency proposes to ask you to be good enough to favour this Government with your views upon the Schedule which may ultimately be compiled before transmitting it to the Secretary of State for the Colonies.
