GRIMMETT AND PETHERICK IN SEMI-FINAL
OF THE LAWN BOWLS

GRIMMITT WINS. Sonic fine bowing was witnessed on the Kowloon Bawling Club green yesterday when A. W. Grimmiti and R. Basa niet in the quarter-finals of the Colony Lawn Bowls Championship. Once again the fortunes fluctuated and Grimmitt forged nbend with two points on the twentieth and three on the following end. His first wood on the latter was far too heavy but with the remaining three he placed the shots. Taking a single on the next hend he concede two to Basa on the twenty-third.
Basa played three extremely good wands on che nest end. to be lying two with Grimmitt two wooda in hand. The latter sent down a heavy shot which carried the Jack into the ditch.

London, Aug. 16. Voco was among the Nottingham players who arrived at Southampton this morning for the match against Hants.
