not thought necessary to trouble Your Lordship about it. Nevertheless, clear instructions

have been given to the Police and as to the privilege rights of the Vessels belonging to the Messageries Maritimes Company and there is little fear of a repetition of the complaints which have been made.

I endorse, also, a copy of the further explanation made by the Superintendent of Police, which I called upon him to make in accordance with Your Lordship's instructions.
