OBITUARY
YOUNG PORTUGUESE LADY PASSES AWAY
One of the popular meinbers of the younger sel of the local Portuguese passed away at her residence, No. 4 Salisbury Avenue, Kowloon, on Tuesday, in the "er- Bon of Miss Aurea Angela dos Remedios, at the early age of 19 years. She had been alling for the past two months and died from pernicious annemia.
Deceased, who was a daughter of Mr. J. C. dos Remedios, one of the oldest members of the staff of the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank, and the late Mrs. dos Remedios, who is popular in a lurge circle of friends. She was well-known in the field of amateur, theatricals and was formerly a teacher at the St. Mary's School (Italian Convent Branch) Kowloon. She was also

The funeral took place at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Happy Valley, yesterday evening, there being a largo gathering of friends and relatives at the graveside. The last rites were conducted by the Rev. Father L. M. Rossi, following a service in the Chapel. The chief mourners were the de- eenscd's father and two brothers, Hector and Hugo.
