McHardy And Forrest Tie Against Brothers
The most exciting tle played to date in the Open Pairs Lawn Bowin Championship was witnessed on the Hongkong Football Club green yes- terday afternoon when W. Mellardy and W. Forrest mot H. M. Omur and A. M. Omar. It was a ding-dong struggle right through, and nt tho end of the 21 heads, the score was 23-23.
The Omara atarted off well, taking n lead of 0-0, but they fell off at this stage. At 11, they remained stuck for six heads, to allow their opponents to have the advantage of 18-11.
They fought back gallantly, how- over, and hnd drawn level on the eighteenth with a count of four.
McHardy and Forrest had a lead of five when the last head was played, but the Omars obtaiṛed a count of flvo to draw. level. It was dark hy this time and further, play was almost Impossible.
On the Craigengower CC. green, A. E. Carey and W. Glendenning were never sorlously troubled by Hunter and Mist, winning by 25-14.
