GOERING IN CHARGE OF DEFENCE
Berlin, May 1.
A chapter in Prussian history has been closed and the writing of another has been commenced in Nazi reforms In the Roich with the announcement to-day that General Hermann Goering will relinquish lus post 1
as Prussian Minister of the interlor in favour of Dr.
erick. the Reich Minister of the Interior. This means that the Reich will take over control of the powerful Prussian Police and the power to order arrests and imprisonment throughout Prussin. Prusala le two-thirds of Germany and vir tually dictates the Belch dementle policy.
General Gouring will remain Premier of Prussia, but this is in the main an ornamental office, though his vigorous personality may continue to exercise some con- trol.
