Strategy Of Manchester City

(By "Saravan")

What is there about the football of Manchester City which has made it so outstanding? During the past three years they have been in the cup sem-final on each occasion and they have thrice reached the final win- ning on Saturday. Only a team of very remarkable attainments could have set up such a record.

The curious thing is that throughout the whole of this period it has been said that the City have had a comparatively wonk defence. I am afraid they have been misjudged. The play of the backs may not be notable for its certainty, but in all their ties they have set up a bold front and they seem to have an unusual facility to retrieve any mistake.
