New York, April 26. A warrant is out for the arrest of General Machado, the fugitive ex-President of Cuba.
New York's police chiefs. were given an acute shock when they endeavoured to execute the warrant
"secretly" to-day.
Swooping down upon Machado's reqidence, they found a group of press photographers waiting for the drama to be enacted—and the bird flown.
