In compliance with your request of the
2nd instant I have the honour to make this short Pacliminary Report on the damages which the Goverment Gardens
and Trees of this Colony
have sustained by the violent Storm of the 31th May and 10th June.
Public Gardens. The injury done to trees and
shrubs to here is
the force of the Storm
- very great indeed, considuing
compared with Typhoons hitherts experienced . Trees and shrubs which were injured by the typhoon of last September, and which have not had: time to recover from it's damaging effects have again,
in consequence of the deficiency
