Replying in the Legislativo Council this afternoon to the Hon. Mr. Braga's questions regarding the Nathan Road trees, the Hon. Colonial Secretary stated that only such trees as are considered a definite obstruction to traffic aro being removed.
Sir Thomas Southern also stated ~that the Government could not see its way to give a specific under- taking that in future, in matters affecting the amenities of the Peninsula, the Government would ascertain the views of represcut- ative bodies before taking action.
