London, Mar. 15. The Minister of Agriculture, replying to a Commons question, said he was aware that, despite the restrictions imposed, there had been practically no increase in the wholesale prices of beef.
With regard to the immediate future, the reduction of imports of frozen meat in the coming quarter would be increased to 35 par cent. He hoped to arrange to have a larger reduction in foreign chilled beef than in the same quarter of 1933.
