•
Coup plays always are Interest- ing, because they soldom come up.
Everything has to be just right to executo a trump coup. You must find sufficient entries in dummy, and you must find your opponent, who has the long trump, with the same distribution, that you have.
Nevertheless, when the coup is made, it always proves thrilling. I believe that it is one of the most dimcult plays for the beginner at contract to recognize, but the ex- pert always is on the lookout for LONDON one and seldom misses it.
Here is ono played recently by George Unger of New York, for- mer national champion.
