At the request of the maker, "Serravallo's Tonie" was introduced into this Department by Dr. Stein in order to try its value. To get a compara- tive measure of the results obtained, the patients were weighed every weak, always with regard to the time of their meals, the amount of food saten and the quantity of faecal matter passed, and measured as to Haemoglobine, according to Fleisch!, for the Erythrocyten coefficient, Bocording to Thomn-Zelas, and for the pressure of the blood, according to Basch. The results observed after giving the patients "Serravailoa Tonle" will be seen in the following tablo:

How to Prevent "Hunching"

It doesn't do one bit of good to tell a child to stand up straight. Ho will do it for a minute or su perhaps, but the instant his mind 1s on something else, down be slumps again.

But I have never known a child who grew straight merely becauss he was talked into it. Children, fortunately, often do adopt better postures as they grow older, but other things are to be thanked for the change usunily,
Mal-nourished Amid Plenty
A mal-nourished child is usual- ly round shouldered, dull-eyed, and anything but soldier-like in his bearing. Such children are not invariably poor. Therefore "Serravalio's Tonic" is most advisable in cases where the therapeutic use of Iron is intended to act as a tonic to the appetite, such as in primary and secondary Antemla, in slow convalescence and especially
for children.
