for WINTER WEAR

All high necklines give the desired long. suave line, but if you think a plain high neck is too levere for you, remember that the softening, modified ones are newer any-
way.
Some high necklines are filled in with handsome lace. No danger of looking severe. If bit of flattering Ince rests
against your neck.
Other necklines are patterned after the ever-popular cowl idea. But these new cowl necklines are very different. They are high and at the same time softly draped.
Most waistlines are softly blouard. With belta taking their place right at the normal waistline, a more graceful effect is gained. when there is a slight fulness just ahoye the belt.

No two skirts
alike. Circulur, straight or straight with plents-cach de- sign has its own place in the silhouette which spells smart fashion right now.
Gored skirts have a certain amount of popularity, especially in evening frocks. And don't discard an evening gown just because it has a bias skirt Instead of a straight one. The two designs vie with each other for favour.
AN OFFICE dress in green flat crepe has à gra- cious banding which goes around the high neckline and down the front of the waist to the bell. where it widens and extends right to the bot- fam of the straight skirt, Bronze ornaments are placed midway on the banding.
A THREE-PIECE. gray knit-tweed suit is just the thing for the Girl- About-Town. The blouse is bright red and the scarf on the jacket is lined with
the same color. The skirt has two kich pleats for comfort.
