The Rubber Conference has been postponed till. to-morrow, uwing to necessary preparations. Including a study of the provi- slonal plans from Holland which wore only distributed on Novem- bor 22.
Representatives attending the rubber conference report that they are of the opinion' that the Introduction of government.con- trol is not altogether impractic-| able nowadays.
The Conference brings substan- tially two ideas into the fore- ground; drstly, the allotment to overy grower of a certain per- centage of his recent productive] capacity, and, as a control mea- sure, rubber must be sent to obligatory markets during some months; secondly, the levying of export duties, ad valorem, with aliding scales.
The total export quots for the Dutch East Indies will be regulat ed Internationally and afterwards it will be distributed
