Murphy, Chief Manager of the Hongkong and Mr. L Shanghai Banking Corporation, and Mrs. Murphy, on occasion of the wedding of Miss Vida Rosamond Harrison, for a Humber of yours the Confidential Assistant and Stenographer at the Colonial Secretariat, and Mr. Charles Bentley Terdre, a member of the Bank Staff, at present stationed at the Shameen Branch.

Mason, A.R.C.O. at the wore organ, The hymns sung "Load Us Heavenly Father," and O Perfect Love," and by tho special request of Mr. Tratman the Prize Song from the maesteringers the (Wagner) was played on
"MUSIC"
The bride entered the Cathedral on the arm of the Ion, the Colonial Secretary, by whom she was given away: Her dress, fashioned by Madame Estelle LeMaltre, lato of Hongkong and now of Paris, was of French pearl coloured satin, and was beautifully cut to mould the figure in panels flaring slightly from below the hip line, and form- Ing a novel round train in one with the gown. A ruching of pleated satin finished the entire train edge. Iler silk tulle veil, sweeping beyond the hom of the train was held in place by a circlet of seed pæarls and orange blossom and she carried o sheaf of white gladioli with jasmin intertwined.
The bridesmaids dresses, made by Madame D'Obry, formed a pleasant illustration of the velvet and lace vogue, the velvet swathing the figure, whilst the fine lace made a deep transparent yoke with a high neckline at front and dropping to a point at the hack, and accen- tuated sleeves. Miss Auho Parkes, the chief bridesmaid, chose lavender and the Misses Jean and Joyce Fergusson, attendant maida, wore.smaller editions, but with puff alceves and mittens. Pale vink roses, tied with lavender ribbon, added a dainty toneh in the posles which they all carried:
Supporting the bridegroom were Messrs. G. W. E. True and R. A. Fawcott,, colleagues at the Bank, and Mr. J. H. M. Andrew of the Union Insurance Society of Can- ton.
The Reception.
The 200 guests who were invited to the reception were received by Mrs. Tratman, who was gowned in an attractive tailored vogue in heavy navy alik patterned in red and belge, with smart swagger cost of navy introducing very pretty Ahoulder effeel, and all accessories including the new jester hat in red, with poke-shape eye veil of navy. African dalales were har chosen flowers which matched well In colouring her ensemble, which had been carried out by Madame D'Obry.
Speeches were made by Mr. Tratman and Mr. True, and many congratulatory messages were received from absent ones, fore- brido's most being those of the parents from Ronth Park, Cardig. and the bridegroom's mother from liford, Essex.
word

Later in the afternoon the happy couple left for the New Territories, and will afterwards. take up reald- enco at Canton. The bride's going nway dress was of powder blue with coat and hat en suite.
