A European is lying at the Government Civil Hospital following a fight at Wanchai in the early hours_of_this morning.

It is alleged that he came into conflict with an African and that as the result of the flight which ensued, the African died at the G.C.H. at noon to-day.

The European's namo is given na Mr. D, C, Phillips, and he is said to be the socond engineer of the s.a, Wing On.
