ROBBED
Canton, Sept. 5. An audacious theft
Was com- mitted this morning at the resid- ence of Mr. Hoffmelator, of Mosers. Spalinger and Co., with so far no arrests, although suspicion points strongly to two servants.
Early on, Mr. Hoffmeister rang for his servant who attended on his wants as usual. An hour later on ringing for breakfast, no reply was forthcoming and on investigation led to the discovery that both his house-boy and coolie had departed bag and baggage.

The Whites, who beat the Stripes
by 3-0, included the 18-year-old Gore at cutaide-right. He played with rare dash and spirit. Wraith, the inside-right from Scarborough, also played well, and Keeping, at back, was very sound. Goals were scored by Wood in the first half and Wraith (2) in the second.
