EXPERIMENTAL NEW SHIP
Amid the crackle of fireworks strung from her bows, the "Elec- tric Star", the latest addition to the Star Ferry Fleet of vessels, waa christened and launched this morning by Mrs. H. H. Pricatley.
The ceremony took place at the South China Motor Ship Building and Repairing works, where the Vessel was built, in the presence of a large gathering.
The Electric Star is electrically- driven and is one of the first diesel- electric ferry boats to be built in the British Empire. She will short- ly be put on regular service between Hongkong and Kowloon.
