A kidnapping and child selling case, involving three Chinese men and two women, ono a widow of 76 years, was commenced before Mr. Wynne-Jones at the Central Police Court yesterday afternoon.
The magistrate decided to give ench defendant a separate trial.
Chiu Chau-ming, 21, unemployed, was charged with kidnapping a boy, Wong Kwan-ting, 11, and his case was heard first. He was convicted and sentenced to the maximum term of twelve months' hard inbour.
