FATHER OF LOCAL RESIDENT DIES IN AUSTRALIA Advice has been received of the death in Sydney of Mr. Walter Baker, founder of the Australian Actors' Association. Mr. Baker was the father of Mrs. S; Colo man, wife of the Manager of the Western Electric Company's Hongkong office.

for the Australian stage than 60 years, and appeared in the original production of "For the Term of IIIs Natural Life," the historic play of the Austra llan convict days. He was on intimato friend of Mr. Bert Balloy, the grand old man of the Austra Han stage, who visited Hongkong six months ago.

He is survived by a widow and two daughters, these being Mrs. Milford-Rice, wife of the famous apecialist in tropical diseases, Dr. Milford-Rice, of India, and Mrs. S. Coleman, of Hongkong.
