Landon, July, 10. Mr. J. R. Rohor, to-day asked Mr. Neville Chamberlain in the House of Commans whether he were aware that Mr. T. Vi Soong, China's Finance Minister, was on- deavouring to negotiate a Jorge Iran with London bankers. He asked, too, if the Government would seek to make, conditional to such a loan, if it were contemplat- ed, a clauso that proceeds should' bo oxpended in the purchase.of. British goods.
Mr. Grattan Doyle asked whe- ther authority for a loan to China would be refused until the de- faulted debts of the Chineso Gov- erriment, respecting railroad loans, were remedied.

amateur photographers. 2-The Prizes will be awarded to the competitors sending in what are adjudged to be the best photographe in each Section. (Section entered to be marked on the back of each picture) and which reach this Office not later than 31st August, 1933. The decision of the Judges shall be final.
3.The right to publish any or all of the entries
in the Telegraph is reserved. 4.-Photographs which have been already entered
in local competitions are ineligible.
5. At the conchision of the Competition, entries will be returned to competitors, on application at this Omco within seven days,
6-No responsibility will be accepted for non-
delivery, loss or damage,
7.-Photographs which must not be less than 24" x 3" (excepting in the Children's Section) should be printed in black and white, with the name of the competitor in ink on the back.
8. No correspondence will be entered into in con-
