The mystery of a man'n'identity and of his alleged denth were the features of a remarkable

Chief which opened before the Justice, Mr. J. R. Wood, at the Supreme Court this morning.

The widow of Yap Chee-meow, late of 21, Shanghai Street, Yaumati, applied for leave to pre- sume his death by drowning on September 6, 1932, and the ap- plication was opposed by Chinn Underwriters, Ltd., with whom deceased, was insured for $20,000, Straits money.

Applicant was represented by Mr. Leo D'Almada, jpr., instructed by Messrs. Lo and Lo, and Mr. Eldon Potter, K.C., instructed by Messrn. Deacons, appeared for the interveners.
