Dairen, June 9. Councillor Wang of the Fengtien Government, disgusted with the slow proceedings with respect to the release of the officers on the Nan- chang, went on horseback, and un- accompanied to the West bank of the Si River, West of Yinkow, to- day and offered the bandits $30,000 on behalf of Manchukuo for the men's release.
The bandits, howover, demanded $1,000,000.
Wang then threatened that Man- chukao and Japanese troops would annihilate the gang if the release were delayed longer.
