The Yacht Club in the second division also suffered their first defeat of the season paying an unproductive visit to the Kowloon Cricket Club.
The collapse of Holland's rink against Cullen and his colleagues wia mainly responsible for the Dock's victory, and it was a single rink which turned the issue in favour of the Recreio against the Bowling Green, Silva's quartette wining by 20 shots.
