YESTERDAY'S MARKET

STEADY

According to Messrs. Swan, Culbert- non and Fritz, the New York market was stendy yesterday. Buninens done! The Wall Street 4,010,000 shares. Journal reports.

The market was erratic, traders holding aloof apparently pending the outcome of the Morgan investigation. There was a spurt in the afternoon which

was, however, party nullified owing to profit-taking in advance of Memorial Day holiday,

The New York Federal Reserve Bank reduced the rediscount rate to 2-1/2 %.
