IT IS UNDERSTOOD THE INFORMATION COMING FROM A USUALLY WELL-INFORMED SOURCE, THAT PRESIDENT ROOSEVELT WILL NOT TRANSMIT ANY WAR DEBT MESSAGE TO CONGRESS IN THE NEAR FUTURE, says the Wa- shington correspondent of the New York Times.
If Mr. Roosevelt finally decided to send a Message, it will be after the completion of the Administration's pending domestic programme, the report adds.
Most of the President's close advisers believe that he will seek special powers for dealing with the debt question before the adjournment of the special session of Congress, but he thinks that it is necessary, in the meantime, to educate the public to the necessity for making concessions.
