TONGKONG is thronging to
Wendy Barrio in Wedding Re- hearsal. They want to see the Co- lany's rat product for the British Aeroen. I joined the expectant crowds on Wednesday and found Wendy Barrie- yes good, very good. A dir tinct capture for the English studios (I only hope they will go the right way about keeping her), and a charm- ing actress of whom Hongkong can well be proud and satisfied. But be- yond Wendy Barria there is some- thing about Wedding Rehearnal whlet ennnot fall to capture the Imagina- tion. It has, I think, the widest ap- pent of any British film seen in Hong- kong for a year. It gives us a now introduction to the development of the Englial producers' conception of modern clucmatic technique. Much of it in mimicry, but it in no excellently done that at the me one la inclined to believe that it is original in iden and presentation.

When the six selected Governork meet, they will choose the representa. tives of the "public" Many names of prominent persons have been put forward. It has been suggested that the posi tion of secretary of the Institute will be held jointly by a representative of the film Industry and a nominee of the commission. The probable selec- tlon will be Mr. Reginald V. Crow for the Alm Industry, and Mr. J. W. Brown, who is secretary of the British Institute of Adult Education.
In this work he is closely connected with the B.B.C.
