At a meeting of the Council of the Lawn Tennis Associa= tion held yesterday, the follow- ing were elected to form the Executive Committee for the ensuing year: Messrs. A. d Arculli, H. J. Armstrong, Leo D'Almada and Major R. S.. Lochner.
An Interport Selection Com- mitice was also appointed and will be constituted by: Mcaure. Ng Sze-kwong, C. P. F. James, S. A. Rumjahn. G. W. Sowell and R. E. Lindsell.

NEW LEAGUE SYSTEM.
An amendment to the original proposal passed at the anaval meeting, for the conducting of the league programome this summer was considered and accepted. It was also agreed that in view of the new scheme for promotion which is to be introduced this year, that clubs shall sond in their teams of nominated players not later than Saturday, April 22. A record field of 79 athletes completed in the annual Shangh al cross-country championship race over six miles in Kiangwan Cou try last work. The Russian Team walked away with premier team laurels, while the individual championship was won by Private Grogg of the East Lancs.
