THE WORLD OF WOMEN
"Hollywood. Diana Wynyard gave spring a rush the other even- ing when she wore an elegant pale grey crepe gown to the premiere of "Cavalcade" at Sid Grauman's Chinese Theatre. Over it she wore a Victorian jacket, with full sleeves. of plum coloured Lyons velvet, that fastened tight about her throat. Her grey gown fell in classically simple lines, heightening her beauty. She carried
a grey and purple brocaded flat evening bag and a spray of orchids which she did not pin to her shoulder.
It was a brilliant opening. Others who looked exceptionally well were:
Elissa Landi and Genevieve To- bin, in the same party, Ehssa" in flesh coloured crepe, very simple. and lovely, with a mink wrap; Genevieve in tery pale blue peau d'ange with a metal cloth bodice and a Kolinsky evening wrap that was floor length.

Ginger Rogers, in a pale green, chiffon frock, delicately embroider. ed in silver bugles, with a tiny bolero of white ermine with puff... ed sleeves.

Maureen O'Sullivan.. in demure crepe frock and white velvet wrap. Mrs. Richard Barthelmess in a vhole ensemble of,,pale blue wool- en crepe. Her three-quarters coat, of the same wool as the gown, was double breasted, buttoned high un- der her chin and had huge leg-o'- mutton skeves.
