TO-DAY'S FINAL
OLD CLUB MATES IN OPPOSITION

IX. weeks öf failures, triumphs, disappointments and rejoicings find their cul- minating point this week, when the Open Tennis Cham- pionship of Hongkong for 1933 is brought to a close. This afternoon, in fact, will nounce the winner of the singles title, and Thursday will discover whether. there is a coupla in the Colony good enough to depose the long reigning champions, the Rumjahn cousins.

Somehow, I feel that this is going to be yet another year of achieve ment for the prominent Indian family of sportsmen, with Sirdar retaining his singles crown and in company with A.D. holding the doubles cup for yet another 12 mon the.
But there is something intriguing in to-day's singles final cloch between Rumjaha and Cassumbhoy. Firstly it is Cassumbhoy's first final--a tre-| mendous test-and secondly the two players are. old club mates and con- temporaries, each with a full appre-} ciation one of the other's game.
BIG HANDICAP.
If anything this fact is going to prove Cassumbhoy's biggest handi- cap, for it is mental as well as phy- sical. In their almost daily encoun ters at the LR.C., Rumjahn has pro- ved superior to Cassumbhoy, and the first big task which eonfronts latter is to forget about these games, that is, so far as the results are con- cerned.
