ILLEGAL EXPORT OF JOSS STICKS COMPRADORE'S WATCHMEN
CONVICTED
Two youtha, Yeung im and Yip Hol, described as compradore's · watchmen on board the Jardine steamer Yuensang, were charged before Mr. Butters at the Kowloon Magistracy this morning with attempting to export a quantity of | joss sticks from the Colony and placing cargo on board without permission from the master of the vessel or the agents.
It was alleged by Mr. R. Todd, who prosecuted, that the joss sticks were found in two lots on the Yuensang. yesterday, defen- dants claiming them as theirs.
