Chan Yuk, a lorry driver, whose Blicence was recommended by a Coroner's jury on Friday to be temporarily suspended, following an enquiry into the death of Chinese woman who was knocked down and killed in Causeway Bay,
fined $25 by Mr. Schofield in the 'Central Police: Court this morning for negligent driving. An additional fine 0! $5 was inflicted on a summons for carrying an excessive load on his lorry.

The summonses arose out of the fatal accident and had been served on the defendant prior to the enquiry being held.
"In prosecuting Taui Wan, the driver of a motor lorry, for dan- Ferous specding, Traffic-Inspector- Alexander said the defendant. I drove down Yee Wo Street towards the Causeway Bay junction. When near the tram junction on the Shaukiwan Road He drove at 20 to 25 miles per hour, where there is a "Drive Slow" sien, und [continued along the new Tai Hang Road at 35 m.ph. A previous conviction for a similar offence was proved, and the defendant was fined $20,
Another lorry drive" who shot facross the Shaukiwán Road from the reclamation near Ming Yuen Gardens, causing Trafi-Sergeant Baker to pull up with undue suddenness, was fined $20 on a summons for driving in a dan gerous manner.
Having a clear recard for the past 14 years, Kwok Sze-ping, a motor lorry driver, was cautioned a summons for carrying an excessive load on his vehicle.
