PRINCE MARRIES

HANDMAID

ROMANTIC LOVE AFFAIR IN GERMANY

Berlin, Jan. 23.

The climax to one of the most romantic love-affairs of recent times took place'to-day in the little town of Stolberg, in the southern Hara Mountains, when the scion of one of Germany's most ancient princely houses, Prince Wolf Heinrich of Stolberg, was joined in wedlock to Frantoin Irms Erfert, daughter of a local town- clerk and former handmaid to the Prince's mother.

Of the bridegroom's family, only his sister, Princess Imagina. attoaded the wedding while the other members of the family de- monstrated their disapproval by staying away.

Inhabitants of the town of Stol- berg, howeovr, showed their sym- pathy with the Prince's democratic viowa by making the day one of general rejoicing which ended in a torchlight procession to the castle, where the happy groom acted na host to the entire town. The couple subsequently left on a wedding tour to Italy.

The Prince, who, though only 29. years old, is the head of the House of Stolberg, announced that he will dissolve the princely house-, hold and henceforth live as a private citizen.
