In evidence on his own behalf, Kiyoshi declared frankly that he came here from Japan with the object of setting up as an opium broker, and implicated a
Chinese whose address he gave as Lee Yuen Street West.
All three defendants were con- victed.
Kiyoshi was fined $6,000 with the alternativo of nine months' labour.
