Mrs. W. T. Southorn, wife of H.E. the Officer Administering the Government, and Patroness of the carnival, had intended to be present, but was unavoidably provented from attending..

OBITUARY.
DEATH OF FORMER OLD RESIDENT OF H.K,
The death has occurred at Home of Mr. William Bell Withers, formerly ал Inspector in the Hongkong Police Force. Newa of his demleo was received at the week-end, death having occurred last Thursday, November 10, at Portsmouth.
