THE first thing the selectors have to do about yester day's Interport football trial match is to forget the score.

It conveys nothing of value and is likely to give a false impression. Not that the Trial team were not worth their six goals. But the opposi- tion!

The Borderers, apparently obsessed with the idea that after all they were only fodder for a team struggling to convince the selectors that each and all were worthy of inclusion in the Interport side, gave up trying after the first half an hour, and the most ragged, disappointing and inconclusive trial match resulted. With n record fleet of 34 boats in the racing classes and two dozen cruisers, the prospects of the Royal Hongkong Yacht Club for a successful season are decidedly bright, and the open- ing regatta on Saturday next should prove a big impetus in this direction.

Rawing events have been arranged andi Seulin, and for Fours, Pairs, thero will also be a raco for Naval Whalern.

A Lawn Bowls game will be played during the afternoon and a Fencing exhibition will be given by members of the longkong Fencing Club.

Tea will be provided as usual, and it is hoped that there will be a large number of members, subscribers and their friends present. Officers of the Navy, Army and Air Force are in- vited to consider themselves በዛ honorary members for the day.
