The hands shown in this series for days past have been selected from the national championship tournament of the American Brid- ge League held recently. Each hand bas Blustrated a clover play by one of the country's leading experts and one might gain the impression that the tournament Wax an unbroken succession of brilliancies.
While the standard of play was probably higher than at any con- tract tournament ever held, even the finest players err at times, and when they do it is apt to prove very costly.
Today's hand was played by four of the strongest players in courtesy the tournament, but
forbids mentioning their names.
