Although the official cricket season does not commence until the first Saturday of next month, a certain feeling, which no cricketer with the love of the game at heart can mistake, has permeated the atmosphere for some time past at most clubs where cricket is known and played. In the evenings, after office hours, the sound of bat meeting ball is to be heard in almost every corner of the Colony-Sookunpoo, Happy Valley, King's Park and even far-off Pokfulam.
