White evening gowns have had such a lucky season that charming gowns which match the moonlight are ranking first in the new autumn styles. This frock uses white canton crepe, in 1 pattern. It fits closely over the hips, and flairs at the bot- tom of the skirt in a long, graceful manner. Ombre broudeloth velvet, which shades from lipstick to white, adds the most exciting touch to the gown. This vol- vet folds softly where it crosses in front, at a low neckline, and goes around the waist where it loops in a tie at the buck waistline.
