A SHOCKING STABBING AFFRAY OCCURRED | GOVERNMENT MAY IN A CAUSEWAY BAY FLAT, THE RESIDENCE OF A WELL-KNOWN CHINESE BUSINESS MAN. IN THE EARLY HOURS OF THIS MORNING.

As the result of a desperate unequal fight with an armed cat-burglar, a lad of fifteen was fatally stabbed, his father was badly wounded and disfigured, an amah is lying at the Government Civil Hospital in a serious condition, and two other women servants were less seriously hurt.

The scene of the sensational affair was the first floor of No. 40, Tung Lo Wan Road, the residence of Mr. Leung Wing-suen, who is a nephew of Mr. Ip Lan- chuen, prominently connected with the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce.

His oldest son, Leung Szc-sau, a student of fifteen, was sleeping on a settee in the sitting-room, when the intruder appeared at about 4.50 a.m. The shrieking of a parrot is believed to have awakened him, but he was stabbed through the throat and shoulder before he could make a move or raise the alarm.

An elderly amah also heard the parrot's squawk, appeared at the doorway and was struck down by the murderer, who had thrown himself back against the wall. She was badly wounded on the head and back. The amahs and Mr. Leung Wing-suen also aroused ap- peared one by one and as they arrived, were attacked and wounded. Mr. Leung Wing-suen lost an ear be- sides suffering other wounds.
