Quito, Sept. 2. Nearly four hundred soldiers and civilians have been slain in three days of the fiercest street fighting following the flare-up of a revolt against the Government. The military garrison at Quito, the capital of Ecuador, were the prime movers in the revolt, pro- claiming that Sr. Neptali Bonifaz was the President of the Republic in defiance of the Congress.
