Shanghai, Aug. 24, The anti-Japanese boycott movement is spreading so rapidly as to embrace practically every branch of commerce and industry in the Shanghai area.

The campaign is being watch- ed by the Japanese with in- creasing bitterness. Their off- cial protests have been all but ignored by the Chinese thorities and the political situa- tion generally is such that un- usiness in foreign circles grows daily.
