therefore seem essential-as the House of Commons at Ottawa has already indicated-to institute and stabilise a currency for the Em- pire. Doubtless, the basis of any such currency would be sterling.
Such a system would not neces- sitate that all the currencies of the Empire should be on a par with sterling: they could be in any relation you liked to sterling, I whether at a discount

If such an arrangement were resolved upon, there are well-known methods by which such stability could be ensured, in the same way as it is maintained to-day between ater- ing and the currencies of places so diverse as Egypt, Trak and several of the Crown Colonies.

UPPER CYLINDER LUBRICATION.
...
In practically every car, new and old, there is a tendency for rapidly moving part at the top of the cylinder to run rather too dry with the result that the cylinder wall becomes worn and scored, rings work loose, and valves stems are apt to stick. An upper cylinder lubricant is necessary for perfect lubrication and Messrs. Wakefield, after exhaustive tests, have produced Castrollo, This oil gets just where you want the top end of the cylinders, piston rings, valves and valve Castrollo ruduces the formation" of carbon, siaco stems. the walls of the combustion chamber are always covered with a film of oil, while such carbon ne is deposited is casier to remove. Castrollo reaches parte of the engine that cannot be offectively lubricated from the sump. · · Some motorists add ordinary lubricating oll to the patrol, but this has been found unsuitable. Effective lubrication via the carburetter nécessitates the use of oil specially blended for the purpose such as Castrollo. Kaye Don and other exports realise the value of Castrollo. A quart tin coats $6 and contains sufficient oil to treat 160 gallons of fuel which is less than four conts a gallon of fuel.
