The bidding was two No Trump by Mr. Barnstine in the South which his partner in the North carried to three No Trump.
The Play,
The opening lead was the ten of clubs by West, dummy played the dence. East the queen, and if Mr. Burnstine in the South were to win the trick with the king, his contract of three No Trump would be defeated. Mr. Burnstine made what Ja known in bridge as a unfety play, putting on the five clubs. When East returned the four of clubs, Mr. Burnstine play- ed the king, West won the trick with the ace. West returned the nine of clubs. East showed out. diacarding a spade, and South won the trick with the jack. The queen of diamonds was the lead and the finesse taken, which East won with the king.

WOMAN'S COLLAPSE.
TRAGEDY OCCURS IN CHINA BUILDING
