Mrs. Barney, wife of John Barney the singer, now touring America, and daughter of Sir John Mullens, prominent Govern- ment broker, is prominent London society woman. She was recently acquitted on a charge of having murdered Michael Scott Stephen, son of a Kent magistrate, after a cocktail party at Knightsbridge flat.-Reuter.
